5. About obscurity

6. About writing a poem
Poetry is
An infinitely dilatant cage
And yet poet is
the bird in the cage

Can fly freely

在笼中

钟的脚步一直未停
看不出有累的迹象
四周密不透风的黑
在妻的磨牙声中零乱
风在门外的桂花树枝上
来回地走动，不知会发生什么
对面四楼的犬声
想说明什么，没谁去理会
谁家的雄鸡看见窗外几点白影
就不停的喊了起来
钟，说出憋了很久的一句话：
现在是北京时间五点整
鸟，最早被鸡吵醒
在枝叶间舞蹈、歌谣
儿子七点钟上学，现在
我该提前喊醒他了
What a Night!
Foot steps of the clock never stopped,
No signs of exhaustion.
Darkness encircled in the sealed space,
Disrupted by wife’s tooth-grinding.
Wind, outside on the branches,
Pacing, don’t know what will happen next.
Dog, barking on the fourth floor of the opposite building,
Want to tell something, concerns of nobody.
Somewhere, rooster saw white shadows through window,
Excited, kept screaming.
Clock, announcing after holding back for too long,
It Is Beijing Time Five O’clock!
Birdies, the first wakened by the rooster,
Dancing and singing, between leafs and branches.
Son’s school starts at seven, and NOW,
I should go and wake him.
